For Individuals
You need HR advice and coaching, and you are not sure who to trust.
I might be able to help you.
You want someone who understands the system and can help you navigate. You need help communicating in a way that allows you to feel heard, and / or sparks a change for the better. You may work for a company that doesn’t have an HR Business Partner, or you do, but you’d prefer confidential advice from someone not associated with your company.

Do any of these issues resonate or sound familiar?
Getting Promoted
You feel overlooked for promotion and disconnected from your manager. You want to change this, but are not sure how.
Team Member Struggling
You have a direct report who is struggling performance-wise and are unsure how to help…and are worried things are not improving.
Interviewing
You were interviewing for another role but things got quiet. You want a reply, but don’t want to
force a “no.”
Discussing Compensation
When it comes to compensation, either for a new job or the one you are in, what is okay to ask? When is the right time to have the conversation?
Losing my Job?
You are picking up on some signals from your boss. And there is a re-org happening. You want to understand your options.
Career Path Options
You’d like to pursue a different career path, but are not sure what that might look like or how to start.
You’ve read blog posts and attended webinars, but now you are ready for advice from a pro on your specific situation.

You want someone who will…
-
Validate your point of view, or tell you if you are way off base
-
Help you understand your options
-
Walk through the pros and cons of each option
-
Coach you to discover what you really want
-
Instill confidence as you move forward
-
And bonus points if they can give you the language or wording for a successful conversation or written communication

I am not a lawyer, and in no way do I replace legal advice. If you are evaluating your legal risk, considering taking legal action, or want someone to review an employment or severance agreement, please contact an attorney- not me.

-
I am not the person to contact for matters related to leave of absence details or legalities, health benefits/ insurance, compliance or policy questions.

-
I do not have access to proprietary salary surveys or compensation data beyond what is publicly available.
So how does it work, and what are your rates?
The going rate for coaches locally (LA/ SF) is $200-300/session.
My rates are benchmarked accordingly.
My quote for you is based on the following variables:

New Issue
Is this our first conversation requiring a deeper dive, or a short follow up consultation?

Communication Assistance
Do you want assistance with talking points and/or an email review with copy edits?

Level of
Complexity
How much time do we anticipate needing to navigate the complexity of the issue together?
Some clients prefer a customized package, allowing for ongoing communication assistance without feeling “on the clock.”
What others have to say…
"During a recent job search process, Katherine's corporate HR perspective and trusted advice were invaluable. She listened to gain a good understanding about how the situation had evolved and talked through where I was in the process. She then very clearly and succinctly guided me as to how I could most effectively follow up and drive urgency with a prospective employer with whom I had been interviewing. She copy edited the email I was planning to send, and in days I had heard back with news of an offer!"

- Becky, In-House Attorney
"Katherine has an expertise in crafting bespoke communications related to a multitude of professional situations. She brings wisdom and objectivity to situations that can often evoke deep emotions when you’re in the thick of them. I needed support addressing a non-profit board concern. She took the time to understand the situation, provided guidance to help me frame the outcome I desired, and helped me find the best words to clearly, professionally, and confidently communicate my intentions leading to the desired impact."
-Rachel, Operations Leader
"Katherine is fluent in the language of corporate HR and was able to help me decipher signals and communication from my employer that I found bewildering and unnerving. She was able to quickly and incisively evaluate my situation, help me look at things more objectively, and offer very actionable messaging and positioning. Even in the best of work circumstances most of us need someone like Katherine in our corner to help us get out of our heads and put our best selves forward, to achieve the best outcomes."
